Metal Technique!

Good day Crafters! It’s nice to see your smiling faces! Are you ready to add some WOW to you r cards and pages? Your going to love the impact, and shine you get with this next product!

Metal Leaf sheets are the perfect way to really make your projects shine! We have Variegated Green Metal Leaf Sheets, Variegated Red Metal Leaf Sheets, Copper Metal Leaf Sheets and even more metal leaf sets on the way!

The technique is simple and yields AMAZING results! You simply add the Palette Stamp & Stick Glue pad Kit Adhesive Solution to what ever tools or project your working on.

Susan used the Lollipop Tree Cling Rubber Stamp to apply the adhesive solution to.

Then place the Metal Sheets over the stamped area. For this sample Susan used Green Variegated Metal Leaf Sheets.

Next you take the Scoochy Foam  and remove any excess metal leaf from the your project. The Smoochy Foam is a rough, long lasting foam and perfect for removing excess metal leaf or glitter from your stamped projects and artwork.

And the results of this simple technique . . .

Susan matted the tree using the Design Tool Kit#6, and used the Geometric Paper Pack to pull all the colors from the metal sheet together for a card that shines and shimmers!

The technique of metal leafing really does create one of a kind exquisite cards, and projects that would make excellent keepsakes or gifts.

It’s not just for stamping though! Just look at these other looks Susan created using the same adhesive and metal sheets! Here Susan used the same process as above, but replaced the stamp with the Ring Doily 6″x6″ Crafting Stencil.

For this last look,  Chalkboard Double Side Paper Pack Enchanted Moments Dazzles™,  Design Tool Kit#5, and Double Sided Adhesive sheets were used. Susan placed the Enchanted Moments Dazzles™ butterfly onto the adhesive sheets and then placed the metal sheet on top of that to create custom metal leafed butterflies for this dazzling card!

What I love best about this technique is that because the metal sheets fall apart after the first use, each time you reuse them they create layers and textures and every project turn out a little different! Just think of all the projects you could use this technique on! Make sure to check out Metal Leafing webisode in our weekly webisode gallery  ! Happy Crafting!
