Spring 2016: Card Kits, Planners, Watercolors & Spring Cleaning!
Here at Paper Wishes, spring has officially sprung! Just as we’re seeing signs of new life outside, we have lots of fresh new items that debuted in the Early Spring 2016 Paper Wishes® Special Edition catalog (all available now at PaperWishes.com)! This catalog has a lot to get excited about, so here’s a peek at a few of my favorites (love my job)! 🙂
Rose Garden Foiled Die-Cut Topper KitÂ
First I want to share something that’s both new and spectacularly gorgeous—the Rose Garden Foiled Topper Kit! Gail demo-ed this kit during her appearance on HSN and it completely sold out. If you didn’t get yours, here’s your chance! Supplies are limited.
A luxurious, foiled card topper kit in vivid fuchsia, lime and teal florals.
- 160 stunning, gold-foiled die-cuts
- 16Â patterned papers (8.5″x11″)
- 24 blank white cards (5″x6.5″) and 24 envelopes
- idea sheet
Here are a couple of project ideas, although clearly you’ll have TONS of beautiful options to play with!

You can layer the toppers, and yes—that beautiful, lacy paper is part of the set! Designed by Gail Booth.
Another favorite (especially among Paper Wishes employees) is the Carpe Diem Planner Collection from Simple Stories! Apparently, we all needed to get organized—but doing so also had to be fun and creative. The planner already comes with everything you need. Then, just choose coordinating Carpe Diem planner extras to customize it—take a look!

Planner comes with foiled acetate insert; 12 monthly calendar pages; 12 monthly tabbed dividers; 72 weekly inserts; 7 decorative inserts; one A5 notepad tablet
Here are all the fun extras—with even more coming in April 2016!
And one of our graphic designers, Kristen, had a fabulous idea—use the weekly pages as a journal! You can still plan ahead on the monthly calendar AND have a place to jot down those precious daily moments that we forget all too easily! Genius!
Stackable Caddy Organizer (Deflecto)
Embracing some much-needed organization, I also picked up one of these!
Moms and grandmas, do you see this!? This caddy features three compartments with snapping lids to keep little fingers out! You can even turn the containers so the lid latches on the inside (close to the handle) keeping your “helpers” away from anything sharp, sticky or permanent. The lids are removable if this isn’t a concern for you, but you probably have a good sense of where I’m coming from… 😉 Another cool feature? You can stack multiple caddies and lock them together. This is a storage solution that I LOVE and it’s perfect to hold all your “basics.”
NEW Watercolor Basics
Another fun trend we are seeing lots of is watercolor. Personally, I love to paint. A simple watercolor background is an easy way to give your cards, pages and projects an extra layer of mixed-media-loveliness, so I’m very excited that PaperWishes.com now carries everything you’ll need to get started!
Here’s one of the pages from this incredible watercolor coloring book. I haven’t tried this book out yet, but it’s definitely on my wish list (along with this one).
So there you have just a few of my Spring Special Edition favorites! Post any comments or questions you might have below, and I’d love to hear—what were some of your favorites?
See you soon!
