Goodbye Pumpkins, Hello Turkeys!
Halloween at Hot Off The Press & Paper Wishes was another great success! We held our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest and there were some really fun and creative entries as always!
Everyone voted for their top 5 favorites which were tallied up by Scott (aka The Fun Dude).
We also had a surprise visit from our favorite trick or treater, Paulette’s granddaughter, Penelope!

Paulette & Penelope checking out the Fairy House Pumpkin!
Scott shared this year’s Top 5 Halloween Candies (#1 is Kit Kat, #2 is Reese’s, #3 is Smarties, #4 is Starbursts & #5 is Nerds) and then the contest winners were announced!

1st Place: Gail Booth & The Google Pumpkin!

2nd Place: Paulette & her Fairy House Pumpkin

3rd Place: Kelcie from Graphics & the Carved Owl Pumpkin!

4th Place: LeNae & her SCARY friend…

And I was lucky enough to win 5th Place!

Congrats & thank you to everyone who participated!
Afterwards, Penelope did a little reverse trick-or-treating, visiting each of us to share some candy! What a sweetie!
So now that we’ve all survived Halloween, it’s time to welcome November, and begin thinking about Thanksgiving. Have you seen this cute Thanksgiving Turkey stamp & cutting die set from Sizzix!? I just love potential for gorgeous layering, as well as the greeting, “Gobble until you wobble!” Too funny!
Happy November!
