Absolutely beautiful Xmas Cards! Loved the various techniques used in making these cards. This was a very informative tutorial. Thanks!

LeNae: These are really nice dies, and make cute cards. I was a bit confused by all of the cutting and fixing of bad impressions on bases. The video gives the impression that you were cutting horizontally. Why wouldn’t the card and die fit, as intended if you cut vertically. I have Anna Griffin’s Impress, and there is nothing it can’t cut, with a wide opening and made with extra pressure. I never hear anyone mention it in the list of die cutters. Anyone who doesn’t have a die cutter and looking to get one should give the Impress a look.

Hi Marie, the Empress is a great machine and it does have a wide platform to accommodate a wide variety of die sizes. However, many people own machines with much smaller platform sizes and they are under the impression that they can’t use the Edger dies that are over 6″ wide. In the video, I tried to show ways to accommodate these other machines.
I’m not sure what you mean about “fixing bad impressions on bases”? I think if you watch the video again you’ll not see any bad impressions, only many different ways to use the edgers if your machine can’t accommodate the Edger dies in the traditional (horizontal) way.
      Thanks for checking in,
      LeNae
