NEW Fairy, Unicorn & Castle Cutting Dies…Oh My!

Hello crafty friends! Today is the BIG day! I’m finally able to show you Hot Off The Press’s NEW Fairy, Unicorn and Castle Cutting Dies! Debbie and I requested these cutting dies because we knew what a BIG hit they would be!

Tip: To purchase any of the items featured today just click on the underlined links and you will be taken to the Paper Wishes product page.

This card uses the Fairy Cutting Die, which was cut twice, once from Black Cardstock and again from Silver Ripple Holographic Paper.

I did a little paper piecing here by cutting the swirls away from the Black Cardstock image and gluing it over the Silver image. The Little Things Paper Pack, Best Wishes Cutting Die and Patriotic Stars Sparkletz where just right for the fairy themed card.

The Unicorn Cutting Die was cut from Metallic Silver Paper and the Starry Cutting Die cut from Painted Lace Paper and backed with Silver Sparkles Holographic Paper. So sparkly!

I used Pastel Cardstock and the Castle Cutting Die to create this paper pieced look. I also added Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff and Winter Wishes Sparkletz for the cloud base.

The Center Step Die Cut Card and Dots & Stripes Paper Pack provided just the right backdrop of the fairytale castle.

Thank you for joining me today! And remember, to purchase any of the items featured today just click on the underlined links and you will be taken to the Paper Wishes product page. I’ll be back later this week with the Paper Wishes Thursday Vlog!

Happy Crafting!

Hello crafty friends! Today I have some Card Builder Cutting Dies, from Paper Discovery, that make putting together cards quick and easy.

Debbie used the NEW Country Chic Paper Pack (from Hot Off The Press) and elements from the Card Builder AND Layered Florals Cutting Dies for this card.

I love the stamped details (from Encouraging Words Stamp Set) and the sparkle from the Sea Level Sparkletz!

The Card Builder Cutting Dies is a handy tool that contains background and intricate frame cutting dies that make it easy to create amazing cards!

For this card Debbie used the Paper Discovery Card Building Panels Cutting Dies along with the same Card Making Magic Layered Floral Cutting Die Set that she used on the first card. I love how different they are!

The Just Believe Stamp (from Penny Black) was the perfect greeting!

Vintage Cards & Scrapbook Page

Hello friends, today I’m bringing you some paper crafts with vintage style. Layering vintage elements is the key to this look. I started with a 12″x12″ cardstock background and then overlapped 5″x7″ papers, photos and die-cuts, arranging them both horizontally and vertically to fill empty space.

To make this sweet page I used Pastel Cardstock, Hello Friend Paper Layers and Hello Friend Whatnots.

I love the color scheme in this collection: Tan, Brown, Cream, Peach and Pink.

For this card I layered paper and stickers. To create a focal, I tore the image of the woman from the corner of a  5″x7″ paper.

I used Cashmere Dame Paper Layers, Hello Friend Title Stickers and a Pink Mini Paper Rose.

Thanks for joining me today. Don’t forget to shop Paper Wishes HUGE 60% Off Sale happening now.

What Can You Do With White Paper Bags?

Hi crafty friends, as I gear up for the holidays I’ve put together a few ideas for using a simple, everyday item: White Paper Bags.

This extra large snowflake was made with 8 large White Paper Bags and it was so easy to make. Here’s how to make your own.

Stack 8 bags, making sure they are all facing the same direction.

Use hot glue to draw an upside down “T” shape on the surface of each bag to glue them together.

Make the cuts as shown through the bag layers. I cut the top layers first and then worked my way down.

Open the layers and carefully pull them apart.

To secure the open edges permanently, place dots of hot glue along the inside edge. If you want to reuse the snowflake then secure with white paper clips instead of glue.

To hang, use a 1/8” hole punch near a point and thread with fishing line.

I like to hang my snowflakes in odd numbers and at different lengths.

Three extra large snowflakes take a total of 24 White Paper Bags to make.

I used Winter Window Cutting Die to make luminaries!

I placed the cutting (die face up) on the inside of the bag and then ran it through my die cutting machine.

They are beautiful lined up on a (dry) winder night. I recommend using battery operated tea lights.

Use Christmas Lace Die-Cuts to decorate bags for gifts and treats!

Thanks for joining me today. Come back on Thursday for Christmas cards with moveable parts. Happy crafting!

Cards With Sparkle!

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m brining you cards with sparkle!

This poinsettia card features Sara Davies Glamour Glitter Cardstock, which comes with Pink, Black and Silver glitter cardstock sheets.

After covering the card with black and silver glitter sheets I used Sara Davies Flourishing Frame Cutting Die to make an elegant black glitter border.

The Poinsettia Dazzles™ Stickers are gorgeous when backed with the pink glitter cardstock. I placed White Jewel Dazzles™ Stickers on the center of each to coordinate with the silver background.

I wanted to keep this card neutral so I used only the black and silver Glamour Glitter Cardstock . The Sara Davies Venetian Mirror Cutting Die made a prefect backdrop for the striking yellow flowers.

To make the tag I cut a long rectangle from black glitter cardstock and cut a “v” shape on one end.  I used a white Inside/Outside Greetings Dazzles™  sticker for contrast and glued the tag under the blossom edge. A black loopy bow was the finishing touch.

Thanks for joining me today. I’ll be back on Thursday with a Halloween Treat! Until then, happy crafting!

Big Die-Cut Crafts

Hi crafty friends! Today I bring you cards and pages made from Birthday Die-Cuts Booklet and Feminine Die-Cuts Booklet. The images are large and colorful and they make the sweetest projects.

This cute elephant (from the Birthday Die-Cuts Booklet)  is one of my favorites. It was a snap to make using the Center Step Card Template.

I love the technique on this bicycle card! Extend the image off the edge and trim it even with the card edge.

This fun Birthday page was so simple to put together. Once again I used the Birthday Die-Cuts Booklet along with solid cardstock and the Build A Banner Template.

This purse card (using the Feminine Die-Cuts Booklet) is adorable and was very quick to make.

You can even use the Die-Cut shapes to make shaped cards. For this Teapot card I glued the die-cut to the front of a blank card, aligning the folded edge just under the pot lid. I used small scissors to cut around the die-cut edges.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

This scrapbook page uses Chalkboard Paper Pack, the Feminine Die-Cut Booklet and some flowers to create a precious Family themed page.

Here is a quick little video about the Die-Cut Booklets:

You can buy both Die-Cut Booklets for a great price! Check it out here.

Thanks for joining me today and happy crafting!

In the mood for Color Me™ Card Toppers

Hello crafty friends! Last night I was in the mood for coloring and I decided that Color Me™ Card Toppers were just the thing. I love them because they are fun to color and don’t take long to complete. When you’re done coloring you just glue them to the front of a blank card and you’re ready for mailing!

The Color Me™ Fern Card Toppers are one of my favorites and the Primary Tones Chameleon Pens offer just the right colors.

Each Topper set comes with blank and printed tags.

If I get a little sloppy with my coloring, it’s no big deal because the gold embossing on each Topper is very forgiving. The ink will sit on top of the embossing (depending on what coloring product you use) and I can just wipe it away with my finger tip and move on.

Once again I used the Chameleon Pens for the Color Me™ Christmas Post Card Toppers. Each pack of Toppers includes 2 sets of 3 different designs plus sheets of tags.

So there you have it! The next time you need a little coloring therapy, try Color Me™ Card Toppers and at this special price you can stock up!

Thanks for joining me today and happy crafting!

Robin’s Red

Hello friends and welcome back! Today we will be focusing on one of my absolute favorite paper collections, Robin’s Red! This week Paper Wishes is offering the collection in a bundle for the AMAZING price of $13.97! Click HERE to get the deal.

This Pop-Up Box Die-Cut Card is just an explosion of fun!

The Pop-Up Box looks complicated, but it couldn’t be easier to make.

For this Interlocking Frame Die-Cut Card I used the Wood Texture Embossing Folder on the die-cut frame before foam taping it to the card front. I added a little black ink to the edges to bring out the texture.

(TIP: Did you know that you can use a rolling pin to emboss paper inside an Embossing Folder, if you don’t own a machine?)

And finally, this sweet card was made using Robin’s Whimsy Paper Tole. I love the heart balloons!

That’s all for today. If you’re not a subscriber, consider signing up today (Top right corner) so you don’t miss a thing!

Halloween Crafts

Hi everyone! I have some sweet Halloween crafts for you today. First, is a little something for your Trick-Or-Treaters. I used the Double-Pocket Treat Die-Cut Cards, Haunted Findings Paper Pack, Halloween Cuties Dazzles™ Stickers, 6″x6″ Textured Cardstock and Evan’s Town Ribbons.

Now that you have the treats taken care of, don’t forget some cute decorations. This banner was quick to put together because I used the Nested Pennant Creative Cutting Dies and Nested Circles Creative Cutting Dies to make the base.

For the background I used Haunted Findings Paper Pack and 6″x6″ Textured Cardstock.  The black and brown die cut letters are Chocolate Monograms which I embellished with ribbon and Orange Mini Flowers.

For this fall themed card, once again, I used the versatile Haunted Findings Paper Pack. I lightly sanded the leaves, flowers and acorns from Fall Die-Cuts and the orange twill ribbon is from Evan’s Town Ribbons.

Don’t miss out on our site wide sale! 55% off regular priced items!

Thanks for joining me today. Happy crafting!
