Borderline Cutting Dies From Creative Expressions

Hello crafty friends! Last night I played with the NEW Borderline Cutting Dies from Creative Expressions. I had so much fun experimenting with them!

Tip: To purchase any of the items featured today just click on the underlined links and you will be taken to the Paper Wishes product page.

The Merry Christmas Borderline Cutting Dies makes a cute card edge. And it was so easy to do!

I wanted to make a small card, so I cut my blank white card to 5″x3 1/2″ and placed the word portion of the cutting die across the top edge.

After running through my die cutting machine I cut along the left and right edges to extend the edge to fit the card.

I used NEW Cutsie Christmas Paper Pack, which includes these darling cut-outs. I also added White Jewel Dazzles™ Stickers and Red Ribbon to add some sparkle and dimension.

I used Cutie Christmas Paper Pack again for this Center Step Die Cut Card. I placed swirly white Fancy Border Dazzles™ Stickers on each side border.

I cut the Winter Wishes Borderline Cutting Dies from red dot paper and used the matting die with white cardstock to really make the greeting pop!

Stepping Into Christmas Hunkydory Card Kit

Hello crafty friends! The long summer days are a great time to start making those Christmas cards. I like to take card making on the road when I vacation with my family and kits from Hunkydory Crafts are so portable.

Tip: To purchase any of the items featured today just click on the underlined links and you will be taken to the Paper Wishes product page.

The Stepping Into Christmas Kit has a large variety of styles and all you need to take with you are scissors (or a paper cutter) Foam Squares, 2 Sided Adhesive Tape (and Paper Wishes has a new type that you can tear) and some Blank Cards.

For this card, Debbie cut 3″ width from the left side of a full sheet of Adorable Scorable Cardstock. Set this piece aside.

To make the card base from the remaining large piece of Adorable Scoreable Cardstock, Debbie scored it twice, once 1 3/4″ from the left edge and again 2 1/4″ from the left.

This makes a raised fold to accommodate for the dimensional pieces inside the card. She then glued the 3″ wide piece (that was cut away) even with the fold on the card front.

Foam tape the die-cut pieces on the inside of the card.

For this card, cut a 7 3/4″ width of Adorable Scoreable Cardstock and fold n half, right sides together. Glue a 3 5/8″ piece to the card front.

The scene on the card front is just adorable!

For this card, Debbie used a Blank White Card as the base and cut 2 1/2″ front the top of the card front only. Cover the card front and inside back with Adorable Scorable Cardstock. Foam tape die-cut corners to the card bottom and inside top corner.

Add die-cut borders and greetings and then foam tape the large die-cut Santa circle to extend off the top edge.

Cut a Blank White Card to 5 5/8″ wide and cover with Adorable Scoreable Cardstock.

Foam tape the layers of the die-cut card topper and foam tape to the card front. The card topper will be slightly larger than the base, creating a shaped card.

Card Edgers From Hunkydory Crafts

Hello crafty friends! As you may have noticed card edger cutting dies are HUGE in card making right now. Hunkydory Crafts has 2 new edgers that you just have to see!

The Flutterbye Wings Cutting Die is beautifully paired with Buttercup Paper Pack.

I used the edger to die cut a blank white card and then covered the back of the card with yellow plaid Buttercup paper.

I cut the Flutterbye image again from pink Buttercup paper and cut out the butterflies. I bent the wings and glued one to each of the white butterflies. For sparkle I glued a Cactus Sparkletz to the center of each.

This card features Pretty Petals Cutting Dies and Lacy Coral Paper Pack. I used the same technique as before and after cutting the card edge with the cutting die I covered the back with coral paper.

I die cut coral paper with the Pretty Petals Cutting Dies and then cut the center flowers from the image. After gluing them to the white flower centers I bent the petals upward and placed a black Enamel Dot on each center.

Paper Boutique Steampunk Cutting Dies

Hello crafty friends! Today I have some fun cutting dies from our friends at Paper Boutique that feature Steampunk with both mechanical and romantic themes. Intrigued?

Tip: To purchase any of the items featured today just click on the underlined links and you will be taken to the Paper Wishes product page.

This easel card features the You Make My World Turn Cutting Dies, map paper from Seaside Revised Paper Pack and specialty paper with a metallic look: Hammered Gold and Mocha Holographic Ripple papers.

I used foam tape under a strip of Mocha Holographic Ripple Paper with die cut gears to prop up the card front.

This card features the Love & Romance Cutting Dies which I paired with Denim Boutique Paper Pack. I love the mix of Steampunk and romance!

After die cutting the second layer from pink/white paper I sponged black ink over the chains. Then I die cut keys and gears from black cardstock, which I then glued over the pink/white images.

For the pink flowers I simply rubbed a little pink ink under each flower before gluing the die cut down.
