Season Of Thanks

Hi crafty friends! November is a month where we remember to be thankful for family and friends. Maybe you send lovely fall themed “Thankful” cards to brighten someone’s day, but why stop there?

Here are a few cheerful “Thank You” cards that you can make and send all year.

For this card I used the Label Triple Easel Die-Cut Card. One of the many things I love about the Triple Easel Die-Cut Cards is that they look like you spend hours engineering and decorating them, but this card took less than one hour to make.

After covering my card pieces with Fresh Cut Paper, I applied black ink to the edges, stamped my message (using Happy, Hello, Love & Thanks Stamp Set) and then foam taped Fresh Cut Die-Cuts flowers to the easel labels.

I’m in love with the Happy, Hello, Love & Thanks Stamp Set. Take a look at all of the message combinations you can make!

For this card I used Script Greetings Cutting Dies and once again Fresh Cut Paper and Fresh Cut Die-Cuts.

I added red and blue Enamel Dots to the flower center and near the greeting.

Vintage Cards & Scrapbook Page

Hello friends, today I’m bringing you some paper crafts with vintage style. Layering vintage elements is the key to this look. I started with a 12″x12″ cardstock background and then overlapped 5″x7″ papers, photos and die-cuts, arranging them both horizontally and vertically to fill empty space.

To make this sweet page I used Pastel Cardstock, Hello Friend Paper Layers and Hello Friend Whatnots.

I love the color scheme in this collection: Tan, Brown, Cream, Peach and Pink.

For this card I layered paper and stickers. To create a focal, I tore the image of the woman from the corner of a  5″x7″ paper.

I used Cashmere Dame Paper Layers, Hello Friend Title Stickers and a Pink Mini Paper Rose.

Thanks for joining me today. Don’t forget to shop Paper Wishes HUGE 60% Off Sale happening now.

Happy crafting!

Pendant Necklaces

Hello crafty friends! Today I have some easy handmade Jewelry Pendant inspiration for you. Just in time for holiday gift giving.

The Pendants come in a 2 pack so you can make one as a gift and keep one for yourself. With Paper Wishes HUGE 60% Off Sale the Pendants are only $1 Each!

I added an Glass Domed Oval to my Silver Oval Pendant and it has the look of an heirloom piece of Jewelry. I’ll show you how I did it.

I used the Vintage Easy Peasy Jewelry book for my art work and traced around the Glass Domed Oval and cut it out.

I layered more pieces on to the paper oval: A round clock cut-out, also from Vintage Easy Peasy Jewelry book, 2 hearts and a “Happy” Dazzles™ Sticker from Gold Tiny Words & Phrases Dazzles™ Stickers.

I used glue stick to glue the paper oval into the Silver Oval Pendants and then added a few drops of Crystal Lacquer (or similar product).

And finally I placed the Glass Domed Oval inside the pendant and pressed down with my finger tip to spread the liquid evenly under the glass oval. Let dry for 6-8 hours.

For the photo pendant I traced the Glass Domed Oval around the photo and cut it out. I used glue stick to glue the photo to the back of the Gold Oval Pendant and added Red Heart Jewel Dazzles™ Stickers and Gold Tiny Words & Phrases Dazzles™ Stickers before adding Crystal Lacquer and the Glass Dome.

For this Gold Square Pendant I glued a square of yellow paper to the inside back and then the “dream” cut-out from the Vintage Easy Peasy Jewelry book. After placing the “Just” Gold Tiny Words & Phrases Dazzles™ Sticker I attached a Glass Domed Square using Crystal Lacquer.  A Gold Chain was the perfect finishing touch.

Thanks for joining me today. Don’t forget to take advantage of our HUGE 60% OFF Sale at Paper Wishes. Happy crafting!

Hello crafty friends! Today I have some festive Christmas packaging that I hope you’ll enjoy. The Sizzix 3-D Blocks & Cubes XL Cutting Die makes 3 sizes of little boxes that are perfect for gifting.

For this gift box/place setting I used the large, 2 1/2″ square Sizzix 3-D Blocks & Cubes XL Cutting Die, cardstock, patterned paper and 9 Tiny Tags & Little Labels Cutting Die Set.

For these cute gift boxes (2 1/2″, 2″ and 1 1/2″ boxes) I used Silver Linen Specialty Paper, Red Holographic Ripple, Gold Sparkles Holographic Paper and the 9 Tiny Tags & Little Labels Cutting Die Set.

These little boxes can be used all year long!

Each box is made from 2 die cuts and doubled sided tape is helpful when assembling the boxes.

Inside-Out Die-Cut Christmas Cards

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m bringing you cards with moveable parts. I love the unexpected and the Inside-Out Die-Cut Christmas Cards do have a surprise element. From the front, they look like pretty cards, but when the recipient opens them, they see that this is no ordinary card.

The Inside/Out Ornament Die-Cut Cards come in a package of 4 and they are ready to decorate with paper and the coordinating Christmas Collection Stamp Set.

Simply match up the ornament stamp with the corresponding ornament shape.

For this card I used Christmas Cheer Paper Pack and gold embossing powder.

I glued a single thread down one side of the die-cut ornament and then glued black paper to each side. After embossing all of the pieces I secured the thread as shown and used foam tape to add dimension to the outside ornament frame.

I left the green ornament center blank for writing a short message.

I love the circle details on the Inside/Out Snowflake Die-Cut Cards (4-Pack).

This card features Robin’s Red Paper Pack, Red Jewel Border Dazzles™ Stickers, Red Jewel Dazzles™ Stickers  and the Christmas Collection Stamp Set.

Tip: Center the small die-cut snowflake in the center of the large frame snowflake while the card is closed. This insures a perfect fit.

The Inside/Out Poinsettia Die-Cut Cards (4-Pack) features a beautiful flower that can be covered with paper or stamped (or both).

The poinsettia frame on this card with stamped using red ink and embellished with red rhinestones.

You can purchase everything on today’s blog individually, or take advantage of our BUNDLE PRICE of just $10.76

Thanks for joining me today. Come back Tuesday for some holiday packaging ideas. Happy crafting!

What Can You Do With White Paper Bags?

Hi crafty friends, as I gear up for the holidays I’ve put together a few ideas for using a simple, everyday item: White Paper Bags.

This extra large snowflake was made with 8 large White Paper Bags and it was so easy to make. Here’s how to make your own.

Stack 8 bags, making sure they are all facing the same direction.

Use hot glue to draw an upside down “T” shape on the surface of each bag to glue them together.

Make the cuts as shown through the bag layers. I cut the top layers first and then worked my way down.

Open the layers and carefully pull them apart.

To secure the open edges permanently, place dots of hot glue along the inside edge. If you want to reuse the snowflake then secure with white paper clips instead of glue.

To hang, use a 1/8” hole punch near a point and thread with fishing line.

I like to hang my snowflakes in odd numbers and at different lengths.

Three extra large snowflakes take a total of 24 White Paper Bags to make.

I used Winter Window Cutting Die to make luminaries!

I placed the cutting (die face up) on the inside of the bag and then ran it through my die cutting machine.

They are beautiful lined up on a (dry) winder night. I recommend using battery operated tea lights.

Use Christmas Lace Die-Cuts to decorate bags for gifts and treats!

Thanks for joining me today. Come back on Thursday for Christmas cards with moveable parts. Happy crafting!

A Special Halloween Treat

Hi crafty friends, as Halloween grows near Paper Wishes has put together a special treat for you. This Halloween Kit includes everything you see here:

Back Dazzles™ Stickers with paper for adorable page embellishments. I like to use chalk or alcohol pens to add shading to the Dazzles™ characters.

For this card Susan backed the Dazzles™ Stickers with glitter paper.

Debbie cut apart the vinyl tag to make a card greeting. Very cleaver!

A dark background really makes these bones pop!

Double-Pocket Treat Die-Cut Cards are also included in this bundle.

They make sweet gifts for friends any time of year.

I like putting a sweet note on the tags and packets of tea in the pockets.

That’s all for today. Thanks for joining me and I’ll be back next week with some festive holiday decorations and gift packaging. Happy crafting!

Cards With Sparkle!

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m brining you cards with sparkle!

This poinsettia card features Sara Davies Glamour Glitter Cardstock, which comes with Pink, Black and Silver glitter cardstock sheets.

After covering the card with black and silver glitter sheets I used Sara Davies Flourishing Frame Cutting Die to make an elegant black glitter border.

The Poinsettia Dazzles™ Stickers are gorgeous when backed with the pink glitter cardstock. I placed White Jewel Dazzles™ Stickers on the center of each to coordinate with the silver background.

I wanted to keep this card neutral so I used only the black and silver Glamour Glitter Cardstock . The Sara Davies Venetian Mirror Cutting Die made a prefect backdrop for the striking yellow flowers.

To make the tag I cut a long rectangle from black glitter cardstock and cut a “v” shape on one end.  I used a white Inside/Outside Greetings Dazzles™  sticker for contrast and glued the tag under the blossom edge. A black loopy bow was the finishing touch.

Thanks for joining me today. I’ll be back on Thursday with a Halloween Treat! Until then, happy crafting!

Big Die-Cut Crafts

Hi crafty friends! Today I bring you cards and pages made from Birthday Die-Cuts Booklet and Feminine Die-Cuts Booklet. The images are large and colorful and they make the sweetest projects.

This cute elephant (from the Birthday Die-Cuts Booklet)  is one of my favorites. It was a snap to make using the Center Step Card Template.

I love the technique on this bicycle card! Extend the image off the edge and trim it even with the card edge.

This fun Birthday page was so simple to put together. Once again I used the Birthday Die-Cuts Booklet along with solid cardstock and the Build A Banner Template.

This purse card (using the Feminine Die-Cuts Booklet) is adorable and was very quick to make.

You can even use the Die-Cut shapes to make shaped cards. For this Teapot card I glued the die-cut to the front of a blank card, aligning the folded edge just under the pot lid. I used small scissors to cut around the die-cut edges.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

This scrapbook page uses Chalkboard Paper Pack, the Feminine Die-Cut Booklet and some flowers to create a precious Family themed page.

Here is a quick little video about the Die-Cut Booklets:

You can buy both Die-Cut Booklets for a great price! Check it out here.

In the mood for Color Me™ Card Toppers

Hello crafty friends! Last night I was in the mood for coloring and I decided that Color Me™ Card Toppers were just the thing. I love them because they are fun to color and don’t take long to complete. When you’re done coloring you just glue them to the front of a blank card and you’re ready for mailing!

The Color Me™ Fern Card Toppers are one of my favorites and the Primary Tones Chameleon Pens offer just the right colors.

Each Topper set comes with blank and printed tags.

If I get a little sloppy with my coloring, it’s no big deal because the gold embossing on each Topper is very forgiving. The ink will sit on top of the embossing (depending on what coloring product you use) and I can just wipe it away with my finger tip and move on.

Once again I used the Chameleon Pens for the Color Me™ Christmas Post Card Toppers. Each pack of Toppers includes 2 sets of 3 different designs plus sheets of tags.

So there you have it! The next time you need a little coloring therapy, try Color Me™ Card Toppers and at this special price you can stock up!

Thanks for joining me today and happy crafting!
