A couple of folks have asked about an ATC swap, and I think Spring is a great theme for one. We did one last year and the ATCs can be seen here.

What is an ATC? Here is what Fab wrote about them back in 2009: "The only rule for these cards is their 2.5 by 3.5 inch size (64 x 89 mm), same as baseball cards and collectible card games. There are, however, certain conventions usually observed by those who make and trade these cards, such as the expectation that they be traded, not sold, and that they be created as unique works or small limited editions of prints." It is also great to include your name and/or MB name and a count of the ATC (1 of 10, 2 of 10) and the date on the back of the ATC, although this is not required.

The theme this time will be Spring and/or new life (think flowers, babies, baby animals, etc.) and the rules are simple:

1. Sign up on this thread - DO NOT send PMs to join the swap. Sign-ups close on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
2. Understand you will need to make as many ATCs as we have people sign up - i.e., 5 people sign up you make 5 ATCs, 10 sign-up you make 10 ATCs. Last time I made 4 different sets but I had way too much time on my hands! LOL You only need to commit to 1 set.
3. The ATCs should all be the same to the greatest extent possible. (Example from a previous swap - one set of my ATCs was vintage Christmas and I used art from several different PW books - but all 10 were vintage.)
4. The great majority of products used must be available on the PW website or be PW products, even if they are no longer available for purchase. I have a lot of the old PW paper "books" and they are fine to use.
5. Due date - your completed ATCs need to be in my hands no later than April 5. Make sure your return address is included so I can mail your pieces back to you. You do not have to include postage for the return - I will cover the costs of returning packages. I will send them back out to you within a week of receiving all of them.
6. Please do not keep your ATC - send them all to me and I will send you one of yours with the others. It is confusing to me if some folks send me 1 less than required. Last time, I panicked thinking I had lost them (yikes:eek: ) before I remembered.

Any questions, ask them here and please, jump right in - it is awesome to get that package in the mail full of beautiful things.

OK, I'm in! It was fun last time and I would love a break from my current project. This will be fun and there is plenty of time to get it done also.

I have never done an ATC card before. I have heard of them. I would love to try it :) Oh my , I might be getting hooked on swaps! HAHA

I'm a newbie in this category, too. Question? Just for clarification....10 people sign up, we make 10 identical ATC's, send all 10 to you (Pennyd), you will return 1 of our own plus 9 others. Correct?

This sounds fun....count me in!

You got it all - it is as easy as that! I'm thrilled everyone is jumping in. I love ATCs, making them and getting them. We won't know how many you need to make til sign-ups close, but you can certainly start putting together your design and gathering supplies. For right now, we know you will need to make at least 6.

Jump right in folks, the water is fine and this is a lot of fun! If we get lots and lots of sign-ups, I can break folks up into 2 groups so you won't be making 20! Wouldn't that be a great thing to have happen - so many folks signing up we had to split them up?

Boy, last time I think there were 6 or 7 I can't imagine there being 10 or more. That would require a lot more room on my desk than I currently have. Guess I will need to clean up!

LindaH61 03-11-2014 08:19 PM

I want in. The deadline is tough for me, so I will just have to be determined...
