Arrow Vote or re-vote regarding monthly g.c.!!

Please vote (or re-vote, if you already did) as I had to close the original poll because the votes didn't reset when third poll option to vote on was added.

This is interesting... I really wonder how changing it would change the incentive for playing along?

I don't do a lot, but what I do certainly isn't in the hopes of the gift card - so it wouldn't change the number of posts that I would share. I just need to get my mojo going and get some cards done, my stash is getting thin.

I would probably create just as much as I do now no matter what the outcome of the vote. I just enjoy making cards...and sometimes pages and other stuff...and the interaction on this board. I wish I had the answer on how to encourage others to post their projects. I know how scared I was the first time I posted something but because of the wonderful people here it got easier. I just hope I'm not posting too much.

if it were to change I'd post/share less stuff. keep making/creating as much but wouldn't search for PW items to add to the project that enables it to qualify as an 'entry' and/or a post on the board. Might be a good thing, as I worry also that I post too much and it inhibits others/newbies from adding to the mix.

We definitely don't want anyone to post less..more is always better. But we do want those who don't have as much time or just aren't as fast with their creations to feel they have a fair shot at winning each month. While he who creates the most things and thus has the most entries doesn't necessarily win every time, seems over time their odds would be better than someone who only has one or two things every month.

On the poll so far, we've had 10 votes so there are still several currently active members who haven't voted!

The swaps team has no actual position on this - just a question that needed to be looked at. I can tell you that we have had an occasional "oh good, a new name!" comment when someone who hasn't won before or recently comes up from the PW contact.

What we'd really like is to figure out how to get more of the 'members' (there are thousands registered although of course probably a huge number of those registered haven't been on the board in years...) to participate and play with us regularly!

Perhaps the question needs to go to those who DON'T post projects regularly - what would encourage you to do that more often? What is holding you back? (And if you don't want to answer "publicly" feel free to send me a personal message; it will remain confidential!)

Oh please people that post a lot don't stop, I love looking and getting idea's from you all. There is a lot of talent here and i have learned a lot. I don't really care who wins each month either. I play along as i can and love seeing how everyone can come up with something different even from the same challenge! Then sometime i may make something and forget to add some pw to it or not have something of pw to go with it. But as i am acquiring more pw stuff it helps.

I love the variety of entries we get in all the challenges and swaps, and that we have so many threads to choose from for creative inspiration - I post because I want to join in the fun. I often only post one project per challenge but that is because I am very slow and run out of time before I run out of ideas.

Sam, your comment is well said, that it would really be great to figure out how to incentivize more registered people to actually post along with the frequent posters. If the GC is that incentive then an even playing field of 1 entry per challenge max evens the random odds... However, we did start to get more posting in general when we allowed a point per entry. I wonder what metric Paulette uses when evaluating her support of the MB? Activity? Likely, in which case keep the multiple entries...
