Default Memory Lane

Giving you a little extra time for this one but it will be due by midnight Pacific Time tonight (Saturday).

Bring out some of those supplies you may not use as often. No dies allowed except for sentiments. No embossing folders. Make a card using one or more of these techniques:

Punching
A compass
Dry Embossing by hand with a stylus
Iris folding
Teabag folding
Quilling
A hand-drawn, hand colored item

think this is quite possibly the first card design I fell in luv with...

oval punch and oval scallop punch. back mat is textured using my score board. Cut leaves and stems freehand. twine and pearls come from PW.

That's cute, Lee. I like how each petal is a different design.

Okay, here's mine - parchment paper hand embossed with stylus (boy that takes patience - and strength in your hands!). Card front embossed with score board. Card base is an OLD card blank from HOTP - it had a smaller oval window, but I wanted a larger window behind the entire parchment. Some of the embossed areas are colored with a marker. I must admit I would much rather have used a cutting die to cut my white frame than using the ruler & craft knife like I did!!! I, for one, am enjoying the newer tools we have, but it's great to re-visit some of the other techniques too. Thanks, Nancy!
