Default January 2016 Kit

hmm. Was a little disappointed with the 'value' in this months kit. Paying $30 excluding postage... DSided paper $8, SSided paper $7, 2 flocked papers $2 - and a bunch of niblets/samples.... which I don't see adding up to anything like the remaining $13 cost of the kit .... and those are the prices if I were to pick my favorite/most liked patterns.

Also, here it is the 7th of January and no class video.

Just curious if anyone else is wondering about what's up with this?

ONE of the reasons I have quite all monthly kits (not just PW). They don't seem to add up very well. It is fun to see new stuff before everyone else, but I find I'm having to watch my budget a bit better than when I was working, so I have to wait and pick and choose.

Default I'm almost there myself...

First I moved to every other month, and figured I'd purchase what I liked in-between... What I've liked about the subscription deal is that I receive 'stuff' that I would not normally order... which pulls me out of my comfort zone/pallet - stretch a bit...also I can always send dupe's of anything I already own to my daughter. BUT: certainly not expecting to pay a premium, if anything would expect anywhere 25-50% BETTER value than retail.

Just in case, anybody else is looking... hate to be perceived as being a whiner and wanting something for nothing... But, here is the $13 worth of "goodies". Have already given feedback about the 24" scraps of 'ribbon' months ago. So, Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I'm with Carol, I let them all go and really don't miss them. I will occasionally pick up a scrap kit on Mom's sale for 1/2 price but that's it. Can you send a kit back? Although that would get expensive.

I'm with Carol and Penny. I quit all the kits except the Dazzles. They are still a good value, at least for me. Every month you get 4 sheets of dazzles and a lot of the new papers and an extra gift. It's usually 3 regular sheets and one scrapbooking dazzle sheet and the following month you get the other scrapbooking dazzle sheet. That is how I wound up with the new Steampunk dazzles! At times I also will pick up a scarpbooking kit for half price.

Yes, as I was putting together my thoughts for the post, obvious that I need to be out of the PShopper also. If I need paper (as if)... 1/2 price works/has worked for me.

I was just looking at the new Mom's sale and there are quite a few PS scrap kits for sale. I looked through them and there were some that were pretty packed and others that were pretty thin.

I know that package postage is pricey so I imagine that it costs a lot to bring product in from Europe. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, just saying that there could be a reason that sometimes the kits are pretty thin. I have bought PS scrap kits when they were on sale and I did like the ones that I purchased.
