Whew... I was working with the PW kit called A Little Birdie Gold Foiled- it should make 24 cards easily. I have finished 7.

It turns out I was able to use for the first time many products besides the kit which consists of diecut topper and sentiment sheets and coordinating 8 1/2" 11" pp. I added in Unforgettable and Simply Susan patterned papers, several kinds of dazzles, and a bunch of dies I had never used.

I am putting details up on my PW album, but here is an aggregate photo of just outsides and the few envelopes I decorated.

Spring is happening here in MD, Carol. My daffodils are beautiful, and the cherry, pear, and apple trees are blooming. Forsythia too.

One of these days spring will arrive in central South Dakota - I hope!!! Although the forecast has snow again on Wednesday, hoping they are wrong - we could use rain which will in turn bring on the flowers!!!!

Great start on that collection/kit. Yo'all have been making me wonder whether I've got a problem re buying and not using (yet). Glad you were able to pull out other unused goodies from your stash as well.

Wonderful color combinations you've created in the 7 pieces. coordinating but different from each other. Love 'em.

Those are wonderful cards Linda! It reminds of two things.
1. That spring will arrive at some point in time and
2. That I have that kit and should pull it out and use it.

I used the Fancy Patterns stamp set for these two cards. I've had the set since I got it in a personal shopper kit and hadn't used it (no idea when I got the kit but it was over a year ago).

The background for the window card was made on a tan background using texture paste mixed with a little too much gray acrylic paint. I lightened it up with a layer of gesso. I really like how it turned out. The tan background shows through just enough to give it a little warmth. The window frame is actually 6 layers thick so it stands out nicely from the front of the card. I dry-brushed the top layer with white acrylic paint and then stamped it with the crackle finish stamp from the Fancy patterns set.

Besides the Fancy Patterns stamp set, I also used the 3D flowers template on the Easel card to make the roses and the Flower Frenzy die set for the daisy leaves.
