Default November 2015 - Christmas Collection

I really like this month's Christmas Collection stamp set. It's really versatile.
Here are a couple cards I made with it. I made the first one with the inside-out card blank that came in the kit. You can't see it on the second card, but I cut around the edges of each layer of the ornament and put foam tape behind the layers to give the ornament some dimension.

Judi,

For me it definitely has been worth it because I wasn't much of a stamper before joining. I had a few stamps but I really didn't know what to do with them. Now I have a really nice collection and I actually USE them.

This tip I got from a dear friend here on the mb. I was having trouble stamping a large stamp since it didn't fit my big block. Asked a question about what to do and got some really great tips. The one I picked was what seemed to me easy. I took some waxed paper and put it down to save my table from having ink on it. Put the stamp down and inked. Placed it on the cardstock I was using and it looked great but still had a couple of blank spots. One day I was watching a demo on Create and Craft and Dawn had forgotten her large stamp block. She put her stamp on the glass cutting board and inked. She placed her paper on the stamp and gently pressed it down. It came out perfect. So I took the tip I got here on the mb and what I saw Dawn do and I haven't had a problem since. You do have to use a gentle touch. I'm sure y'all have used this method already but I love it. So thank you, my dear friend and a thank you to Dawn Wheeler. You two have saved my sanity. Judi
