Default Recruiting Help for RAK Project

Do you have juvenile prints, stamps, dazzles, or other stickers or die cuts collecting dust? I think I can help you out.
I am looking for some kind people to help me make 40 juvenile birthday cards to give to an orphanage in Haiti. The orphanage houses boys and girls up to age 16 with the majority in the elementary school age group. To say these kids have nothing is an understatement. But they are getting an education that includes learning English, all school subjects including computers, sciences, art and music- subjects generally not included in that country. They are cared for physically and emotionally by a small staff supplemented by missionary volunteers. Recently 6 students graduated from "high school" and the orphanage and earned scholarships to universities- quite an accomplishment that will hopefully break their cycle of poverty.
In mid November a friend of mine is traveling there and I asked her if they would like a batch of cards to use for the upcoming annual cycle of birthdays and she said that would be "amazing and generous". So now I need help making them!
(OSW cards would be a fantastic way to get them started, don't you think?)
If you are interested in making 2-10 cards in the A2 (4.25x5.5") size that are basically FLAT cards (no foam tape, pop ups, thick embellishments), and want to help me, please PM me and I will get the particulars to you that way. Deadline would be November 1 but might slide even later if needed. I can even provide the wording in their Creole language if you want to add that special touch.

I thank you for even reading this message and considering helping. If this is something you can do- even bigger Thanks!

Which orphanage is this one Linda? my daughter is hoping to visit one in Port-au-Prince later this year.
I could help for a few- "Happy Birthday' in Creole language would be great.

Heather, it is way off in the mountains, not near any city. I will have to get the exact name and location. My friend tells me, but since it is in Creole, it doesn't stick in my American brain...
Even 5 cards - simple, flat, juvenile Happy Birthday cards would be such a help! I will also get the Creole expression to post here as well. You can add it in any font from the computer.
THANK YOU!

OK - how 'thick' is thick?.... best way to ask is to show - for this pair of bears, do I need to lose the ribbon embellishment? anything else that is layered onto these cards? be brutally honest, since this will set the criteria for my stack.

Thanks Linda!

Rosie- yes you would send them to me. I can post my address if that is easiest for people.

Lee- to be perfectly honest I would prefer little knots to bows if ribbon is involved. Brads (normal not "big" or Decorative would be ok). I think stickles Nuvo etc would all work very well...

Try this guideline... if you make a stack would it be flat or would it lean? Leaning means something is "bulky". Just try to minimize bulk. I don't have any official guidelines, but space is a premium, and if something gets bumped or torn off a card it may be rendered unusable.

Thank you so much, though! Already so cute!

A HUGE shout out of appreciation to Lee!
She sent me 12 cards for the Haiti kids, and they are a variety of themes, and for a few different ages. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Lee, I can tell which ones you have probably had around in your stash for "ages" - but the kids will just be so thrilled to get such cute and well made cards.

As far as I can tell, this is THE PERFECT way to use those cards that you may have laying around that have maybe gone a little out of date, or are maybe a little less than perfect. I will gladly take those cards for this RAK project!

All my cards are larger and bulky. Busy month but I may be able to make a couple.
