I got a great deal on this Prima Travelers Journal kit when PW briefly carried them. It is gorgeous, and it was meant for a gift. But the person told me (before I could give it to her) that she only uses phone apps for planning and calendars. So I kept it. Now we have this amazing trip coming up, and I think it will be a perfect and fun way to journal as we go. I don't see it listed on PW any longer, but this product is great, so flexible, and my creative juices are just oozing out to play in it.

I decided to set up a few additional inserts: a folder I made and attached post it notes into as a supply to have in my notebook as I travel; a blank monthly calendar that came from a craft store with a craft cover and I added some scuffed paper, ink, stamps, and stickers to; and I covered the solid black insert that came in the set with Bohemian Dreams paper, added washi tape, dazzles, a pocket inside, and a strip of scrap cover paper. Then I couldn't help myself and I did the title page, back page, and my first entry. I'll post pictures from my computer, since it is easier.

I ended up starting a new album for 2018 which you can find by clicking on my name at the top of this post. I described things there too. This is a fun item, and I am only just getting started with this type of journaling/scrapping.

Your trip journal sounds awesome Linda; love the thought you've put into it ahead of time so it will be easy and fun to journal in during your trip...So, have fun fun fun in Australia! Do NOT try to bring home a baby kangaroo - I hear they frown on that, LOL!

Wanted to mention another trip journal idea, too; one I hope to do on a future trip! I took a class years ago from Debbie Schuh, and she showed us one of her trip journals, where all she did was get a postcard for every day of her trip and write a bit on it; most she mailed home that day, and some she brought home with her because she wasn't anywhere she could mail them, but then she put the date on all of them. When she got home, all she did was punch holes in them and assemble them into a little journal book, adding a cover & pages here and there with pictures. I've always kept that idea in mind as such an easy way to have a trip journal almost complete when you get back.

Sam, that idea surfaced on Pinterest too from a VERY old Scrapbooking magazine article long out of print. I saw it recently and have that in mind as well. Thanks for explaining it so well!
