Recipes sarabinder — By: Laura Nicholas

For the Binder Cover:

  1. Use a brown ink pad to ink the back cover, the spine and about 1" in from the spine on the front cover of the binder. Glue a 2"-wide strip of red textured paper to the front cover, about 1/2" in from the spine. Cover the remaining front cover with striped paper, trimming the paper even with the binder edges. Tip: We recommend using a craft knife rather than scissors to trim the excess paper rather. Simply turn the binder over, place it on a cutting mat and trim.
  2. Ink the edges of a 3/4"-wide strip of green textured paper and glue it to the right side of the red strip. Add straight stitch penwork down the long edges of the green strip. Ink the edges of the whole binder cover.
  3. Ink the edges of a 2 1/4"x3" piece of light blue textured paper. Mat on yellow textured paper, trim to 1/8" and ink the edges. Add cross stitch penwork over the edges of the light blue paper. Sand the apron Brad Buddy™, tie white ribbon around the top, then attach it to the light blue paper. Foam tape the whole piece in the bottom right corner of the binder's front cover.
  4. Stamp recipe words in black on yellow textured paper. Crop the words individually, ink the edges brown and add a mini brad to the left end of each. Sand the edges of the “goodies” punch-out. Glue the sanded “goodies” and the “yummy!” punch-out and foam tape the recipe words down the left side of the binder's front cover. Zot™ a bow of printed twill to the right side of the front cover.
  5. Cover the inside front and back covers of the binder with green squares paper, trimming the paper even with the binder's edges and inking the edges brown.
