For Mom — LeNae Gerig

This gorgeous candle makes a perfect decorative piece—keep it for yourself or give it as a gift to someone special.

Decorating your own candles is easy—all you need is an embossing tool and stamping supplies. Be careful not to heat the wax for too long; you want to soften it, not melt it!

  1. Surfaces: Remove the tags from four bags. Holding the bags together, punch two holes in the bottom of all four bags.
  2. Cut a 5"x3" piece of tan lace paper. Ink the edges and glue to the front of a bag. Computer journal “For Mom” on a blank rose tag and glue it to the lace paper. Add a green gingham brad to a pink silk flower. Zot™ the flower, three buttons and a bow of white ribbon to the bag.
  3. Cut and ink the edges of six 5"x3" pieces of various pink papers, then glue to the front and back of each bag. Ink the edges of quotes and glue one to each paper piece. Embellish with silk flowers, ribbons, buttons and brads.
  4. For the tags: Cover all four tags front and back with coordinating papers. Glue quotes to the tags, embellish and knot ribbon through the tabs, then slip the tags in the bags.
  5. Hold all four bags together and insert loose leaf rings through the punched holes. Close the rings, then knot various ribbons around each.
