Summer Tag — By: Toddi Barclay

Designer Tips: For the perfect page accent. For the perfect card embellishment. Or just for fun—this Summer tag is a great way to inspire your creative spirit in whatever paper crafting endeavor you take on. Check out how Toddi added a beaded accent for something a little different.

  1. Cut out the tag. Trace the large sun onto vellum and cut it out. Glue the vellum to the tag over the sun
  2. and trim the excess. Shade the sun rays with plum decorating chalk. Shade the text with lavender chalk. Mat the tag on purple, then again on peach.
  3. Insert a 1/8” purple eyelet in the tag top. Thread a 10” length of twisted purple fiber through the eyelet as shown.
  4. Wrap a piece of lavender sea glass with 18-guage purple wire. String three lavender bugle beads and two purple e-beads on each wire end as shown. Bend the ends to secure the beads and glue it to the tag.
