School Supply Box — By: LeNae Gerig

Designer Tips: LeNae's fun supply box is perfect for storing school supplies!

  1. Glue an 8 1/4"x6" piece of school patchwork centered on a 8 1/4"x6 3/8" piece of dark blue textured paper. Glue the ruler border cut-out down the left side, trimming the excess even with the edges of the blue paper. Glue the paper to the box lid (Tip: Open the box and place the lid on a cutting mat, then trace around the edges of the lid with a craft knife to remove any paper that hangs over the edges of the lid, if necessary).
  2. Ink the edges of a 1 3/4"-wide strip of dark blue textured paper. Mat the top and bottom edges on light blue textured paper, trim to 1/8" and ink the edges. Cut out alphabet tiles to spell the student's name. Attach the alphabet tiles across the dark blue strip, attaching some with glue stick and others with foam tape, then trim the edges of the strip as necessary. Add an orange mini brad to each corner of the dark blue strip, then foam tape the whole piece centered on the box lid.
  3. Use the Crop-A-Dile to punch a 1/8" hole centered on the front edge of the box lid. Fold 2 1/2" of ribbon in half and place the loose ends under the punched hole. Insert an orange brad in the hole and through the ribbon ends on the opposite side, opening the prongs to hold the ribbon in place.
