"Ella's 1st Year" sarabinder™ — By: LeNae Gerig

Designer Tips: Precious in pastels! Pre-coordinated papers and embellishments make LeNae's baby photo binder so easy. And it's great for girl and teen photos, too!

For the Binder Cover:

  1. Ink the spine and the back of the binder cover. Glue pastel striped paper to the front surface of the binder, aligning it next to the spine. Place the cover face down on a cutting mat and trace around the edges with a craft knife to remove the excess paper. Glue a 6 3/4"x5 1/8" piece of yellow squares paper centered over the striped paper.
  2. Mat the long edges of a 3"-wide strip of green dotted paper on white cardstock, trimming to 1/16". Glue the paper across the center of the yellow squares paper. Glue felt ribbon over the yellow paper, above and below the green dotted strip, trimming the ribbon even with the binder edges.
  3. Mat a small photo on white cardstock and glue at an angle over the bottom right corner of the green dotted strip. Layer a pink, yellow and lavender silk flower, attaching the layers with a pink mini brad in the center. Zot™ the flowers to the left of the photo. Fold 5 1/2" of pink dotted sheer ribbon in half and Zot™ the folded end under the right side of the silk flowers.
  4. Computer journal the binder subject on white cardstock and crop to a strip. Add a pink mini brad to each end of the strip, then foam tape it down the left side of the green dotted paper.

For the Binder Inserts:

Use the supplies above to decorate dividers and pockets for the inside of the binder. Come up with your own creative ideas for decorating the inserts, or try out a couple of LeNae's techniques:
