Photo Tin — Susan Cobb

Designer Tips: Susan's personalized tin makes the perfect place to store your favorite photos and photo CDs. Or use it as a gift box for gift cards, jewelry and more!

  1. Use the cosmetic wedge to apply a mixture of rubbing alcohol and alcohol ink to the base of the tin, one lavender brad, one lavender mini brad and one set of ghost wings; let dry.
  2. Apply glue to the tin's lid and cover with color block paper (with the aqua block on the left and the and purple block across the bottom). Place the lid face down on a cutting mat and trace around the edges with a craft knife to remove the excess paper. Ink the sides of the lid, extending onto the edges of the paper.
  3. Glue lavender twill down the left side of the lid, trimming the ends even with the lid edges. Glue blue stitched ribbon overlapping the right edge of the twill. Layer a blue and a green silk flower, add the inked brad to the center and Zot™ them to the top of the twill/ribbon lengths. Zot™ a knot of lavender twill to the bottom of the twill/ribbon lengths.
  4. Mat a small photo on lavender textured paper, trim to 1/8" and ink the edges with alcohol ink. Glue the photo over the right side of the lid with the wings layered underneath.
  5. Computer journal on light blue textured paper, crop to a short strip and ink the edges. Add the inked mini brad to the left end of the journaling, then foam tape it below the photo.
