Fall Filmstrip — By: LeNae Gerig

Designer Tips: LeNae used a cool filmstrip overlay to create this totally unique way of displaying photos. Bonus: This embellished filmstrip makes a great scrapbook page border!

  1. Cut one filmstrip from the overlay sheet, then trim one frame off the filmstrip, leaving three frames remaining. Lay the filmstrip horizontally and glue one photo behind each of the three frames.
  2. Punch a series of five 1/16" holes along the top right edge of the filmstrip. Cut two 3" lengths of yellow woven ribbon, two 3" lengths of burgundy sheer ribbon and one 3" length of moss green grosgrain. Run one ribbon length through each of the punched holes and tie into a knot around the top edge of the filmstrip.
  3. Computer journal the year onto white cardstock. Trace the smallest of the rounded tag shapes from the template around the journaling and cut out. Punch a 1/16" hole in the top of the tag and run a length of burgundy embroidery floss through the hole. Punch another hole in the top left corner of the filmstrip, then run the floss through the filmstrip hole and knot the tails together to form a loop. Glue the tag in place in the top left corner of the filmstrip.
  4. Computer journal the name onto white cardstock. Trace the same small tag shape around the journaling and cut out. Attach the tag in the bottom right corner of the filmstrip with a green mini brad.
  5. Punch a hole in the bottom left corner of the left filmstrip frame and in the top left corner of the center filmstrip frame and add a maple leaf brad to each hole.
