Merci — By: Paris Dukes

A punched square on the front of this cheerful card adds interest to this design while coordinating overlay accents make the card pop with unique dimension.

For the Front of the Card:
  1. Place the card with the fold on the left and cover the card front with pink diamonds paper. Cut two 3/4” wide strips of pink multi stripes paper with the stripes running vertically, as shown, then ink the edges black. Glue one strip 3/4” from the top of the card and glue the other strip 2 1/4” from the top, then trim the excess paper even with the edges of the card and ink the edges of the card front.
  2. Cut out the three floral tile overlays and lay them evenly spaced between the two pink multi stripes paper strips, placing them toward the right edge of the card. Secure each overlay with a black mini brad in the center of each flower.
  3. Punch a 2” square in the bottom right corner of the card front and ink the edges of the punched area black. Hint: Small square or cat’s eye-shaped ink pads are great for inking the edges of punched out areas.

For the Inside of the Card:

  1. Cut a 5”x3 1/2” piece of pink multi stripes paper with the stripes running vertically. Ink the edges black, then glue over the bottom portion of the inside of the card.
  2. Cut out the “Friend” overlay and attach it centered over the top portion of the card with a black mini brad in each end.
  3. Cut out the “Merci” overlay and place it over the pink multi stripes paper so it’s centered in the punched-out portion of the card front when the card is closed. Secure the overlay in place with a black mini brad in each corner.
