Friendship — By: LeNae Gerig

For thanks, sympathy or just because, this classic friendship card is the perfect way to let your close friends know you're thinking of them. A unique window and overlay quote make this card pop with personality while versatile patterns and colors make it perfect for anyone on your list.

For the Card Front:

  1. Turn the card so the fold is on the top. Cover the card front with tan with leaves paper and ink the edges black. Lay a super-size slide mount 3/4" from both the top edge and right edge of the card front. Use a pencil to lightly trace around the edges of the slide mount window onto the front of the card. Open the card and lay the card front on a cutting surface. Use an X-acto® knife to cut the pencil lines, creating a square window on the card front.
  2. Cover the super-size slide mount with tan script paper and ink the edges. Glue the slide mount to the card front with the window on the card front centered in the window of the slide mount.
  3. Tie a 12" length of black grosgrain ribbon into a shoestring bow and use a Glue Dot™ to secure the bow just to the left of the slide mount.

For the Card Inside:

  1. Cover the inside of the card with grey sponge paper. Cut a 1 1/4" wide strip of tan with leaves paper and ink the long edges black. Glue the strip vertically on the card inside, about 1 3/4" from the left edge, and trim the excess even with the bottom edge of the card.
  2. Punch a hole in the left end of the "friendship" word fragment overlay add a pewter mini brad to attach the overlay overlapping the top of the tan with leaves paper strip.
  3. Punch a hole in each corner of the "friendship" quote overlay and add a pewter mini brad to each to attach the overlay centered under the window in the card front.
