Designer Tip: Soft colors, fabric-inspired papers and chic little buttons boost this simple layout with vintage style and feminine flair.

  1. Use the brown rose paper as the background. Ink the edges of an 8 1/2"x8" piece of pink striped paper (stripes running vertically) and glue 2 3/8" from the top of the page. Add a pink mini brad to the top corners of the striped paper.
  2. Mat a photo on burgundy textured paper (leaving the left edge unglued), trim to 3/16" and ink the edges. Computer journal the name and date onto ivory cardstock, crop to a small rectangle and ink the edges. Glue the date behind the top left edge of the photo, then glue the edge of the photo in place on the mat. Glue the matted photo centered over the top portion of the pink striped paper. Use foam tape to attach two small flower tiles overlapping the top right edge of the photo. Glue a floral medallion cut-out centered below the tiles.
  3. Run the scalloped border through the “sentimental” ribbon slide and glue it across the page, overlapping the bottom of the pink striped paper. Run thin strips of ivory cardstock through the holes on six brown buttons (two of each size) and use Zots™ to attach the buttons evenly spaced across the scalloped border.
