Third Grade — By: Paris Dukes

Designer Tip: Ever wonder what to do with those school photos that mound up? The Busy Scrapper’s Solution for School Pages has everything you need! Check out how Paris created a layout to commemorate Natalie’s third grade year.

  1. For the left page: Mat the photo on black crinkle paper, leaving room at the bottom for the “First Day of School” artwork. Add to the plaid ruler background paper as shown. Cut out the alphabet tiles and add to the top of the page, centered. Cut out the school artwork and mat together on black crinkle paper. String black ribbon through three buttons, knot and add side-by-side between the artwork. Thread ribbon through another button for the top of the artwork, and hang the ends down, securing them behind the matted artwork. Add “Fun Times” across the ribbon as shown. Write the year on the notepad in the artwork.
  2. For the right page: Mat the photos together on black crinkle paper. Cut out the alphabet tiles and add to the top of the page to finish the title. Cut out and glue together the envelope, add black penwork. Wrap black ribbon around the envelope, securing the ends behind it. Glue it to the left side of the page over the buckle. Cut out the school bus tag and add journaling with a black pen. String ribbon through a button, know and add to the top of the tag. Insert the tag into the envelope.
