Birthday Party — By: LeNae Gerig

Designer Tip: Can you spot the fairy in LeNae’s photos? She’s added wings to the little girl in the main photo! It’s easy to do with an X-acto® knife, but LeNae does recommend you have copies of your photos when doing this technique. A copy will allow you to experiment without permanently altering a one-of-a-kind photo.

  1. Place the purple butterfly/flower border paper with the border at the top of the page. Glue a punch-out border 3/4” from the bottom of the page. Secure a white starburst brad at the center of the blue flower punch-out and foam tape it to the border.
  2. Select fairy wings that are proportionate to your 4"x6" photo. Use an X-acto® knife to cut around the shoulders and under the arms of your photo. This will allow you to slip the wings into the background “behind” the subject. Once positioned, add glue to the back of the wings to keep them in place on the photo.
  3. Mat the photo on blue cardstock, leaving a 1/16” wide border. Mat a 3 1/4”x3 5/8” photo with both blue and pink cardstock and the 3 1/4”x2 3/8” photo with blue cardstock. Arrange the photos between the top and bottom borders as shown.
  4. Journal on the label punch-out, add a brad at either end and foam tape it to the bottom of the large photo. Add the “come fly with me” punch-out between the two smaller photos. Journal on white cardstock, trim and ink the edges. Glue vertically next to the two smaller photos.
  5. Glue the large Tinker Bell punch-out extending overlapping the large photo as shown. Secure the yellow Brad Buddy™ butterfly to the top right of the page and add yellow mini brads behind the butterfly.
