Fall Leaves — By: Laura Nicholas

Designer Tip: Celebrate fall with a seasonal layout featuring rich browns, deep oranges, crisp reds and lush golds. Rather than focusing on people as her photo subjects, Laura used this lovely 8"x8" page to showcase the changing colors of autumn leaves!

  1. Glue a 3"-wide strip of brown plaid paper even with the right edge of the orange leaves background paper. Ink the edges of the papers gold.
  2. Mat a vertical photo on the dark brown portion of the leaf border paper, trimming the mat to 1/8". Glue in the top right corner of the page. Add the "autumn" tab over the top right edge of the photo. Glue the "vintage autumn leaves" label centered under the photo. Ink the top of one small and one large button brad; let dry. Add one inked brad to each end of the label.
  3. Glue three 3"x2 1/2" photos evenly spaced down the left side of the page. Glue the "F" color swatch at an angle in the top left corner of the top photo, then glue the "A" swatch over the middle photo and both "L" swatches overlapping over the bottom photo. Ink the top of one small, one medium and one large button brad; let dry. Add one inked brad over the top of each swatch.
