Daddy's Little Boy — By: LeNae Gerig

Designer Tip: Playful colors and simple shapes are sure to add masculine flair to your sweet boy pages. All you need is a copy of Busy Scrapper’s Solution Boy: Baby & Toddler Papers plus a few ribbons and brads to make this designer layout in no time!

  1. Use the orange texture with block border paper as the background, orienting the paper so the block border runs along the bottom of the page. Mat the photo on white cardstock, trimming the mat to 1/8”. Mat again on dark blue texture paper and trim the mat to 3/16”, then glue in the upper left corner of the page. Cut out the blue and green circular tag and glue it in the top left corner of the photo. Cut out the word “boy” and use foam mounting tape to attach it in the center of the circular tag. Cut out the “Daddy’s Little Boy” ribbon fragment and secure it in the bottom left corner of the photo.
  2. Cut a 13” length of ribbon words and lay the strip horizontally so it covers the seam between the orange texture portion and the block border portion of the background paper. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around the edges of the paper to secure on the back, then add one pewter brad to each end. Cut out the word “play” from the artwork and attach it toward the right end of the ribbon words with foam mounting tape.
  3. Cut out alphabet tiles to spell “Big Boy” and use foam mounting tape to secure them along the block border, centering the tiles in the blocks.
  4. Computer journal in blue ink onto white cardstock and cut the journaling into four strips. Mat each strip on dark blue texture paper, trimming the mats to 1/16”. Glue the strips at varying angles down the right side of the page. Add one red square mini brad to the left end of first and third journaling strips. Cut two 2 1/2” lengths of blue and white striped ribbon and tie a knot in the center of each. Use Glue Dots™ to attach one knot each to the left end of the second and fourth journaling strips.
