Designer Tip: This domino necklace is easy to make and the perfect gift for a friend, or for yourself! You only need to use a few drops of ink-a little goes a long way.

  1. Squeeze 2 drops of Pink Sherbet ink near the top and 1 drop near the bottom of the plain side of the domino. Quickly dab the ink with the folded paper towel to spread the ink into the upper left and lower right corners, and to add texture. Squeeze 2 drops of Lake Mist ink across the area between the two pink areas, and dab with a clean corner of the paper towel. Dab more color on the sides of the domino randomly with the paper towel.
  2. Stamp the cherry blossom image on the domino with StazOn black ink, so some of the blossoms are over the pink areas and leaves on some green areas. Heat set the image to dry it quickly. Add Corner Dazzles stickers to the left corners, then add a swirly corner to the right side of the front, and continue it onto the side. Trim edges evenly.
  3. Cover the back of the domino with the Roses in Harmony tan/pink/red paper and trim evenly with the domino. Brush a thin layer of 3D Crystal Lacquer over the paper. Apply Crystal Lacquer to the back of the bail and place centered at the top. Let dry flat.

I liked making this necklace. I did not have the dazzle corners or swirl. I have a question.
do I brush a thin layer of 3D Crystal Lacquer over the ink side of this necklace. What protects the ink from coming off?
Reply from Paper Wishes Customer Service:
You can brush Crystal Lacquer over the finished project if you like, but alcohol inks should not rub off either way.
