For the Left Page:

  1. Use the yellow with striped border paper as the background with the border running along the top edge. Mat the large photo on white cardstock, trimming the mat to 1/16”. Cut a 5” length of blue and white striped ribbon and lay it horizontally over the bottom of the matted photo. Wrap both ends of the ribbon around the edges of the photo mat and secure on the back. Cut a 6” length of blue and white striped ribbon and tie it into a shoestring bow, then use a Glue Dot™ to adhere it toward the left end of the ribbon length on the photo. Mat again on blue textured paper, trimming the mat to 1/4”, then ink the edges with dark blue. Glue the matted photo in the lower left corner of the page.
  2. Mat the two square photos on white cardstock, trimming the mat to 1/16”, then adhere them to the right of the large photo, as shown. Computer journal onto white cardstock, then crop and ink the edges with dark blue. Mat the top and bottom of the journaling on blue textured paper, trimming the mat to 1/2”, then ink the edges of the mat with dark blue. Cut the “Pure Sweetness” fragment from the artwork, then use foam mounting tape to attach it over the seam between the bottom edge of the journaling and the blue textured mat. Cut a 3” length of blue and white striped ribbon. Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon length and attach the knot to the top of the journaling with a Glue Dot™. Glue the matted journaling under the two square photos. Cut out alphabet tiles to spell the name, then adhere them under the journaling with foam mounting tape.
  3. Cover three mini circular slide mounts with blue texture paper, then ink the edges with dark blue. Use the circular opening in each slide mount to frame two acetate handprints and one footprint, arranging the slide mounts so one point of the square is at each the top, the bottom and both edges. Cut three 1 1/2” lengths of white embroidery floss. Run one length through the loop on a loopy brad, then secure the ends of the floss to the back of the slide mount, forming a loop that extends from the top point of the slide mount. Repeat using the other two lengths of floss, two more loopy brads and the other two slide mounts. Evenly space the loopy brads along the blue horizontal stripe on the background paper’s border, then secure the slide mounts on the page with foam mounting tape. Cut three 3” lengths of blue and white striped ribbon, tying a knot in the center of each. Adhere one knot to the bottom point of each slide mount using Glue Dots™.

A Tip From LeNae: Loopy brads make great page accents–they’re adorable and functional, too! Use them to “hang” photos, journaling, card focals or slide mounts for a fresh look like I did on this “Pure Sweetness” page. Or, try using two loopy brads and run a length of ribbon or fibers between the loops to create a border on your scrapbook pages, cards and sarabinders™!
