Tiny Boy
This month's precious baby layout is full of soft, coordinating color and sweet, swirly accents. Don't have baby photos? You can use this exact same layout with any other 8"x8" papers and your favorite horizontal photo to scrapbook any theme you like!

About this Page
LeNae selected softly colored papers from Paper Pizazz® Baby 8"x8" Papers to create this mini album page. She made a custom border with a torn strip of plaid paper, tucking the photo under the torn edge for interest. She added contrast to the layout with stitches and swirls, stamped in chocolate brown ink. Coordinating tags and cut-outs from the paper collection plus metal embellishments from the Icy Rainbow Creative Kit add a finished look to the layout.

LeNae's Tip of the Month
New to stamping? It's really simple! All you need are the basics: A sheet of acrylic stamps, an acrylic block and an ink pad.

Just peel your choice of acrylic stamp off the sheet and press it on an acrylic block–the acrylic material makes the stamp cling to the block, keeping it securely placed until you choose to peel it off. After pressing the stamp onto the block, just tap the stamp in an ink pad to coat the stamp with ink. Hold the acrylic block and position the stamp where you like (the clear block ensures you can see exactly where you're placing the stamp), and press down. Do not rock the stamp–simply apply medium, allover pressure. Lift the stamp and voila!–you'll leave behind a stamped design, perfectly placed on your project. After that just peel the stamp from the block, wipe each down with soap and water and replace the stamp on its sheet until next time.

LeNae's Steps to Making this Layout

  1. Use the tan paper with the large blue letters as the background. Cut a 2 1/2"-wide strip of tan/blue plaid paper and tear along one long edge. Stamp the straight stitch next to the torn edge of the strip. Glue the strip even with the left edge of the page, placing the torn edge on the right and leaving it unglued.
  2. Stamp a swirl running off the top right corner of the page. Mat a horizontal photo on light blue paper and trim to 1/8". Glue the photo over the top of the page with the right edge tucked under the unglued torn edge of the plaid strip. Use yellow mini brads to add two yellow turn mounts to the right corners of the photo.
  3. Attach the teddy bear tag at an angle over the top of the plaid strip with a yellow brad in the tab.
  4. Stamp a swirl centered below the photo and add a yellow mini brad to each end of the swirl. Glue the "tiny boy", "adorable", and "miracle" ribbon cut-outs around the swirl.
