I love Hunkydory Christmas kits. This one is just so traditional and for me that is a winner.

I made some of this type of card back in the summer and bought some small padded envelopes to use to mail them.

Myrna, If your concern about mailing is the bulk instead of the size, check with your post office about "hand cancelling". It is a service the postal service previously offered for items too fragile or bumpy for the machine sorting. It's been a while so I don't know if it is still available or if there is an additional cost.
Also, the 4003296 - 400 foam pads are 1.5mm deep. The 4000074 foam pads are 2.0mm deep. You can adjust the dimension of the card a bit with the depth of the foam pads.
Something I have done in the past is to use dot adhesive to adhere the first few layers. This will give a small amount of dimension. Then use foam squares on the last few outer layers to really set them off.

Loretta, Staz-On and Surfaces ink pads are made for shiny surfaces. You might also want to consider stamping on a coordinating paper, even printer paper should work, trimming it down and make it a card insert. You should be able to heat emboss on the Adorable Scorable if you are careful. I would test on a scrap piece first, heating it from the top of the powder a bit further away than usual.

What do you use for the inside? Since the paper is shiny inks smear.
