Designer’s Tip: These wonderful 3D toppers don’t always have to be used as foam-taped layers. For the inside of this card, I spread out the three layers to create a “growing” stem of flowers. It keeps the card flat for mailing!
Instructions:
- For the card front: Place the card with the fold on the left. Die cut a circles panel from Gingham #2 dark blue cardstock and glue it centered on the card front. Glue a doily at the lower right, extending off the side and bottom card edges. Trim off the excess. Glue a second doily extending off the center left edge as shown, trimming off the excess.
- Die cut the large banner from Gingham #2 blue gingham paper and trim it to 2¼" long. Mat it on dark blue cardstock with 1/16" borders. Place black “just a note” Dazzles™ on the banner, then foam tape it as shown.
- Stack the three layers of the two 3D flower toppers shown with foam tape between the layers. Glue the bouquets to the doilies, tucking the stems of the upper bouquet under the edge of the lower bouquet.
- For the inside: Cut 3⅜"x3½" Gingham #2 blue gingham paper. Cut a doily in half and glue one half to the paper, aligning the straight edge with the bottom edge of the paper. Trim any excess. Mat the gingham paper on Gingham #2 dark blue cardstock with ⅛" borders. Glue it to the inside, 1½" from the bottom.
- Glue the three pieces of the pansy 3D topper in a single layer, growing upward as shown. Die cut a 3¼"x1½" label from Gingham #2 gray gingham paper. Mat it on Gingham #2 gray cardstock with 1/16" borders, then cut the left end off to make it 2¼" long. Place black “get well quick” and a heart Dazzles™ on the label, then glue the label as shown.
