Designer Tip: Use Mega Flakes applied to black cardstock as your base before embossing.
Instructions:
- Card front: Place your card with the fold on top. Cover with black cardstock. Place Thin Line Dazzles™ along the top and bottom, ¼” from the edges.
- TECHNIQUE: Apply Megaflakes on your base. Apply a coat of FlitterGlu to 6”x4” black cardstock. Use the Scoochy Foam to scrub off the excess. Run through your embossing machine, making sure the side with the gold will be the raised side. After embossing, go back over the raised areas with the scoochy foam to remove some of the gold. You can also use a sanding block to remove even more. Use the VersaMark™ ink to lightly go over some of the raised areas. Dust with black embossing powder. Tap off the excess, and heat with the heat gun. Cut the piece to 5¾”x4”. Mat on Red Fireworks Holographic paper with 1/8” borders. Glue to the card front.
- Place the “Happy Birthday” Dazzles™ on a 3¾”x 3/4” black cardstock. Mat on red holographic paper with 1/16” borders, and again on black cardstock with 1/8” borders. Foam tape 5/8” from the card bottom, centered.
- Card inside: Mat a 5 7/8”x1¾” red holographic paper on black cardstock with 1/8” borders. Glue to the card center. Place the “Celebrate” Dazzles™ on a 5¼”x1¾” black cardstock. Glue to the card centered.
