Designer’s Tip: Stamp the butterflies onto the patterned paper. Then use that as a pattern to cut them out to make easy work of backing the acetate.
Instructions:
- Card front: Cut out two joined postcards from Artful Watercolor postcard paper, using the two with the white ghosted butterfly at the bottom and the text on top. Ink the edges with with Timber Brown StazOn® ink and glue centered on 6½”x5” blue/green watercolor paper, keeping the butterfly on the left. Ink the edges again.
- Use VersaMark™ to stamp a large rose cluster at the bottom left corner. Dust with white embossing powder, shake off excess and set with the heat gun. Stamp and emboss “Wishing You A Beautiful Day” on the bottom right corner of the postcard piece. Stamp and emboss two tiny butterflies as shown.
- Wrap two lengths of pink twine down the center of the piece and glue on the back. Place a blank card with the fold on top and glue the prepared piece to your card front.
- Stamp and emboss one large, two medium, and one “landing” butterfly on acetate. Cut out each butterfly with a 1/16” border around each, then Zot™ onto pink watercolor paper and cut out along the edges of the acetate butterflies. Foam tape the butterflies in place, as shown, lifting the wings of the large butterfly, slightly.
- Place baby bling on the butterfly bodies, and Zot™ on a triple bow of twine, 1/8” pink sheer and ¼” yellow sheer ribbons at the bottom of the wrapped twine.
