- For the Flower Border: Place the card with the fold at top, then cut a piece of orange paper with swirl design in the bottom left corner to fit the card front. To get your first punch to line up with the edge of the paper, position the punch system horizontal in front of you, with the punch inserted in the hole directly in front of you. Use the grid across the top of the punch system. Turn your paper so the edge you want a border on is towards you. Line up your paper so the left edge is on the second gridline to the left of the center line. For the subsequent punches, line up the blue marker on the left with the hole at the center of the smaller flower on the previous punch. Place the punched paper onto the card front. Glue a ¼”-wide strip of yellow paper to the right of the punched border.
- For the monogram: Punch the floral on a piece of yellow paper, then position the paper on top of the orange "B" monogram, placing the flower at the bottom curve of the "B." Glue the paper to the letter, using the craft knife to trim the inside areas of the letter. Cut a yellow flower in half, then glue behind the upper left corner of the letter.
- Cut a 2 ¼”x1 ¼” rectangle of orange paper, mat on yellow, and print or journal the rest of the word "birthday." Attach just behind the monogram, then use foam tape to attach the monogram and message to the card front.
- For the Inside: Cut a 4 1/2" by 3" rectangle of yellow paper and punch the floral paper punch in the bottom left and upper right corners. Mat on a 5" by 3 1/2" rectangle of orange swirl paper.
