Designer’s Tip: Use mica powders with re-inkers on acetate for a great background!

Instructions:

  1. Card front: Cut your card to 6”x5”. Place with the fold on top. Glue a 5 7/8”x4 7/8” Silver Linen paper centered.
  2. Place a 7”x6” Heat Resistant Acetate on a craft sheet, or a piece of scratch paper. Drizzle Crystal Lacquer all over. Sprinkle with Metallic FX powders by dipping a soft brush in the powder, and tapping it with your finger over the Lacquer. Drip Re-Inkers over the Lacquer. Crumple an 8”x7” white tissue, and open back up. Place over the Lacquer/inker/Mica Powder mix. Place a piece of Plastic Wrap over and press the tissue into the Lacquer. Remove the Plastic wrap carefully, or the Lacquer will take a VERY long time to dry. Let dry completely. Cut to 5¾”x4¾”.
  3. Isolate the bird on a branch, by taping off the rest of the images on the stencil. Position the branch coming from the right side, and tape to the acetate. Use a cosmetic sponge to ink the stencil on the acetate. When the image is completely covered, remove the stencil, and dust with white embossing powder. Tap off the excess. You can use a soft brush to remove any stray crumbs around the branch. Heat with a heat gun. Glue to the card front. Place the Dazzles™ as shown.
  4. Card inside: Use a 5”x3/4” piece of the acetate that you cut from the sides. Mat on a 6”x1” Silver Linen. Glue centered. Place the Dazzles™ as shown.
